Simple Tantan Sandals are Simply Eco-Amazing

Don’t you just love shoes that are more than just shoes?

Shoes that are both feet-friendly and eco-friendly?

Shoes that are cushy to the sole and soothing to the soul?

Shoes that let you walk more in them yet lessen your carbon footprint at the same time?

We obviously adore them here on JesusSandal because we’ve featured eco-friendly sandals quite a lot. Here are 3 that we’ve featured before:

These sandals are one of the latest offerings from the Simple shoe brand. They’re made from eco-certified leather (BLC/ISO 14001), meaning the leather material was made in an eco-certified tannery. The outsoles are made from a blend of natural rubber and recycled car tire parts and the entire sandal was put together using only water-based glues.

According to the description from Simple, using water-based glue instead of the often used petroleum-based glue “greatly reduces our dependence on petroleum without leaving any nasty smelling glue for the people who put the shoes together”.

And of course, the shoebox this sandal comes in is also made from recycled materials, using only soy-based ink for the printing and starch-based glue to hold the box together.

Given all these amazing features, I guess the cushioned stacked heel, the cute button closure, and the pretty etched design on the inside of the leather are just added bonuses.
