Trend Alert: Long Evening Dresses with Flat Sandals

Looks like celebrities are injecting fun and comfort into their evening styles these days. Ines de la Fressange, Uma Thurman and Elizabeth Olsen walked the red carpet during the recent 64th Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France with probably ease their number one consideration when it comes to shoes considering that they paired their elegant evening gowns with chic flat sandals.

The pairing is quite a sight to behold mainly because it’s a bit novel. Long evening dresses mixed with flat sandals are not something we get to see in the fashion scene, particularly in the red carpet where sky-high stilettos rule the day. Surprisingly, however, the same novelty is refreshing. The pairing gives off that formal meets relaxed vibe, and looks fun and full of ease.
